Field Trips and Tours

The Fort Wayne Fire Department has always offered field trips and tours. This offer is for children and adults to come to the station and see what happens day to day at a fire station.

We normally have one firefighter dress in full gear to show what the equipment looks like and to show how it works.

The Department also offers presentations where the Engine or Truck can come out to a facility and show the different equipment that we carry on the truck.

To schedule a tour please call 311.

Station 17 serves as FWPD Outpost

Station 17 serves as a Fort Wayne Police Department Outpost. This enables Police Officers the ability to access their computer, write paperwork, and, get and receive much needed paperwork without having to leave their area of service unattended while they head to the Police Station on Creighton Street.
